I went out to Wonga Park North on December 20, 2006, and did the river track and circuit which starts at the carpark at the canoe launching area.
The track follows the river bank for about 1 km, to the end-point where it is blocked by huge rocky cliffs.
The return route was through bushland, following old fire access tracks.
Visibility was seriously limited due to the extensive smoke haze from the bushfires raging in Victoria's alpine country.
