The Rifle Range Reserve is a gazetted forest reserve on the western perimeter of the Kinglake National Park, 65 km NE of Melbourne, near the small settlement of St. Andrews.
It is in the old gold-mining area, with many shafts and diggings remaining.
It is managed by Parks Victoria, with a shared fire access and walking track.
I did this 2 km hike on February 28, 2007.
