The Watermill Bush Camp is in a remote section of the Kurth Kiln Regional Park, 65 km east of Melbourne.
It is accessed from the 1.5 km Watermill Track, from a closed gate on Beenak Rd, 7 km north of the town of Gembrook.
The track is not open to public vehicles, and is used primarily for fire management purposes. Walkers are allowed on it, and it terminates at the McCrae Creek. There is a change in altitude from 280m to 227m.
The Shiprock Waterfalls Reserve is nearby.
I visited this bush camp on September 4, 2007, passing through dense forest, with many colorful spring wildflowers along the track.
There are excellent views towards the Bunyip State Park from Beenak Rd, at the entrance to the track.
