Lookout Rock is in the Olinda Section of the Dandenong Ranges National park, 45 km east of the Melbourne CBD.
I explored the area on November 22, 2007, on a 4 km hike along the Mathias, Sequoia, and Rock Tracks, starting and finishing at the junction of Silvan Rd and Mathias Track.
These Tracks pass through the beautiful Olinda Valley, the Arboretum and lush fern gullies.
Lookout Rock has been a popular destination for over 100 years, and is adjacent to the Olinda Golf Course.
