View to Mt Donna Buang
Mt. Lofty is the highest peak in the Warrandyte State Park, 20 km east of Melbourne.
The views towards the Ranges are superb, across the Yarra Valley.
Prominent mountains in the distance are Mt Donna Buang, Mt Victoria, Mt Dandenong, Mt Monda, and Mt St Leonards.
I climbed Mt Lofty on December 13, 2007, following the very steep Wayne's Rd from the Reserve Rd picnic ground.
