Olinda Forest - Views and Tracks
Walkers and dogs on Poplar Track
Zoom view towards Lake Mountain and Mt Juliet
The Olinda Forest is a large section of the Dandenong Ranges National Park, 45 km east of the Melbourne CBD.
I visited the Forest on December 23, 2007, hiking the Mathias, Birch and Poplar Tracks in the beautiful Arboretum.
There are excellent views towards the Yarra Ranges from the high point on the nearby Silvan Rd.
Red foxes are a nuisance in this Forest, and poison bait has been laid - warning notices show the locations.
Photo Album of my trip.
