Badger Weir Park in Summer

The Badger Weir Park is on the Badger Creek, a popular destination in Melbourne's water catchment region, 60 km east of the city, near the town of Healesville.

Several walking tracks radiate from the picnic ground.

I hiked the interesting Stringybark Track, about 2 km return, on January 8, 2008.

I returned to Melbourne via the scenic Don Rd, stopping at the Malleson Lookout, with good views across the Yarra Valley towards the Kinglane National Park.
