The Warrandyte State Park is 15 km east of the Melbourne CBD, adjacent to the Yarra River.
I visited the Pound Bend section of the Park on February 15, 2008, which included a 3 km hike along the Main Walking Track (next to the river) and the steep, stony and rough Gallatly's Lane.
