The Warringine Park is a large area of public land in the district of Bittern, between the towns of Hastings and Crib Point, on Westernport Bay, about 60 km south of Melbourne.
It consists of three distinct sections - the Wetlands, the Creeklands, and the Woodlands.
An excellent 4 km walking/cycling route passes through the Wetlands, most of which is on a newly constructed raised Boardwalk.
There are two viewing platforms off the track for observation of birdlife and the wetlands.
The track starts at the end of Salmon St, Hastings, and ends at Jack's Beach, Crib Point.
Interpretative signs along the route describe various features.
I walked this track in its entirety on October 26, 2008, on a hot and humid day!
