The Warringine Park is a large area of public land in the district of Bittern, between the towns of Hastings and Crib Point, on Westernport Bay, about 60 km south of Melbourne.
It consists of three distinct sections - the Wetlands, the Creeklands, and the Woodlands.
An excellent 4 km (return) walking/cycling track passes through the Creeklands Section, some of which is on a raised Boardwalk.
There are viewing platforms along the track for observation of birdlife and the billabong.
The track starts at the Warringine Park Office, on the Frankston-Flinders Rd, near Lady Nelson Parkway, and ends at Henderson's Rd.
Interpretative signs along the track describe various features.
I walked this track on December 29, 2008, on a hot and humid day!
