Olinda Creek hike in early spring

On Wednesday September 1, 2010, I visited the Olinda Forest, 35 km east of central Melbourne.

I did a 3 km return hike alongside the Olinda Creek, on Management Road 18, starting at the gate on the Olinda Creek Rd.

The creek was a raging torrent, due to recent heavy rains in the area.

There were interesting displays of coloful spring fungi!
