Shortcut Track is a former logging route in the Kurth Kiln Regional Park, 70 km east of Melbourne.
It links Shepherd Creek Rd with Beenak Rd and follows Tomahawk Creek Gully.
It is steep in parts, with a change in altitude from 234 m to 185 m and passes through beautiful forest and lush green fern gullies.
I explored this Track on April 28 2012, on a 3 km hike, starting at the highest point near the Kiln.
The Track is signposted and gated at each end.
