Taggerty River Lookout - Marysville State Forestokout

Pix taken on May 7 2012 in the Marysville State Forest, 90 km east of Mellbourne.

This was a 3 km (return) hike to the Taggerty River Lookout, reached from Dickenson's Track, at the turnoff on Lady Talbot Drive, then along the Michaeldene Track, not far from Marysville township.

There are beautiful views of the Taggerty River along the tracks - the actual Lookout is a wooden structure, with seats, adjacent to a colorful information board.

Small wooden bridges and a boardwalk are crossed on the way to the Lookout.

These formed, signposted tracks are quite new, following their reconstrution after this area was virtually destroyed in the tragic bushfires of early 2009.
