Exploring the Banyule Wetlands in early Spring

These pix were take on October 19 2012 in the Banyule Wetlands, 15 km east of central Melbourne.

They show the scenery, fauna, flora, environment and features along a 4 km hike, including the Main Yarra Trail, the former Dairy, the Yarra River, the Banyule Native Garden, the Banyule Creek and the large Billabong.

This area was once farmland, and a network of walking tracks may be followed!

Beware of lycra-clad cyclists, many who refuse to ring their bells, snakes, frogs, birds and lizards!
