This was a 2 km circuit hike in the south-western section of the Banyule Flats Reserve, Viewbank.
My journey started at the car park at the soccer ground, at the end of Somerset Drive, then along the Main Yarra Trail, passing the Banyule Lagoons. Then, a turnoff to a minor track and reaching the Yarra, near the windmill. Then back along the Yarra, picking up the Main Yarra Trail again, and passing the Banyule Swamp.
Met up with some young boys on bikes, who had got lost on the minor tracks, so gave them directions!
