This Park extends from Burwood Highway to Highbury Rd, about 1 km.
Gardiner's Creek Trail passes through it, on land formerly used for Australia's first Drive-Theatre (opened 1954, closed in 1983).
The replica (1992) of the Early Settler's Shelter is a local tourist attraction - nearby is a covered Barbecue area, previously the Drive-In ticket box.
Markers along the Trail describe Australia's geological history - they also indicate the distance (in metres) from the Burwood Highway and the age (in millions of years) of each Eon/Period.
A Geological display is near the Highbury Rd end. Information boards describe the Drive-In's history.
