The Heatherdale Creek Parklands is a 23 ha area of diverse parklands located in Mitcham.
It incorporates Simpson Park, Somers Trail, Heatherdale Reserve, the Heatherdale Ponding Basin, Avon Reserve and the Ferris Avenue Drainage Reserve.
These parklands are managed by Whitehorse Council.
My 3 km (return) exploration started at Heatherdale Rd, next to the Bowling Club, passing through or adjacent to the various parks and reserves. Some areas contain tracts of preserved native vegetation.
