THE VISTA TRAINS - Fox's Point Scenic Railway - Kalorama - 1954 to 1961

I have published a further on-line article in my "Pictorial Heritage of Victoria" research series.
This is about the "Fox's Point Scenic Railway", also known as the "Vista Trains", an almost forgotten part of the Dandenong Ranges history in Melbourne's outer east, a popular tourist attraction between 1954 and 1961, located on the north face of Mt Dandenong.

It was located 3.5 km from the township of Montrose, on timbered bushland, at what is now 1136-1138 Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd, at "Windy Corner", near the intersection of the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd and Inverness Rd.

My dissertation, of 12 chapters, brings together many heritage images, descriptive texts, location maps and drawings about the Railway. A special Chapter showing historical images of the early days of the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd is also included.

It may be viewed at THE VISTA TRAINS - Fox's Point Scenic Railway - Kalorama - 1954 to 1961
