Braeside Park

Pix taken on March 19 2014.

This was a 3 km exploration of part of this huge 292 hectare park, SE of the Melbourne CBD, starting at the Red Gum picnic area off Governor Rd.

The reserve opened in 1987, formerly farmland and owned by the Board of Works. Located on the east side of the proposed Peninsula Freeway, and taking up over half the suburb of Braeside, Braeside Park has walking/bicycle trails including the Howard Road Trail, Red Gum Trail and the Bayside Trail.
