Little Peninsula Tunnel (Mc Mahon's Creek)

These pix were taken on March 2 2014.

They show the scenery and environment on a 2 km exploratory hike in the Little Peninsula Tunnel area, on the Yarra River, 70 km east of Melbourne, near McMahon's Creek.

The Tunnel is one of two - the other is the Big Peninsula Tunnel, nearby, both created to alter the course of the river in the goldmining era so that the prospectors could scour the river bed.
