This exploration included a visit to the Hendersen Creek Wetland.
My primary destination was the Ridge Lookout, a 2 km (return) hike from the Swamp Gum carpark.
The views from the top were superb - the Melbourne CBD skyline was prominent, 25 km away!
The Macedon Ranges and Yarra Ranges were visible.
There is a change in altitude of about 50 metres from the carpark.
