The area has been landscaped, and contains walking tracks, lookout points, a lagoon, and heritage information boards.
My visit was on Feb 26, 2016, a 1 km hiking circuit, following part of the Trail.
History Summary
Established in 1861, it was one of the largest grazing properties in the Noble Park area. It was formerly a 640 acres farm but sudivided in the 1930s and again in the 1940s (367 acres) and 1950s. The low-lying areas became public parkland (now the lagoon). The Homestead remained in Mollison St until the 1940s. The gateposts stood in Dandenong Rd (Princes Highway) until c.1990s.
In 1950, the land was bought by the Waverley Riding School until its relocation to the Cranbourne district in 1957.
The Homestead was a 16-room building, mainly brick, and was used for balls and other functions in the early 1910s. A dog competition was held in 1952 on the property, sponsored by the Riding School. (Researched from various sources, including Trove and Heritage Council of Victoria)
All that remains are the concrete foundations off Mollison St and an Information Board placed on a layer or bricks.
