Norton's Park - the old reservoir

A 2 km exploration on March 1, 2018, starting at the main car  park off Nicholson's Lane. This followed the southern perimeter of the Park through the old orchard to the remains of the former reservoir adjacent to Shepherd's Bush. The reservoir is fenced off, and is within the Biolink Conservation Project area. Biolink was created in 2001 and extends through Shepherd's Bush.

The reservoir was originally part of the old orchard - it has been dry for decades and is now overgrown with bushes, weeds, blackberries, stumps and dead trees. There has been recent extensive replanting by Community groups in association with Parks Victoria along the southern edge of Biolink down to the Dandenong Creek.
