Pipe Reserve - Mitcham

Photos of April 10, 2019, on an exploration of the Mitcham Service Reservoir precinct, which included the western section of the Pipe Track Reserve. The Reservoir and Tower were built in 1925.  The facility is managed by Melbourne Water, and supplies water to the Surrey Hills Reservoirs.The compound is protected by a high cyclone fence. The reservoir itself is actually above ground level and surrounded by a wall, and there is no public viewing point.
