These wetlands are best explored from the western side of the Dandenong Creek, by following the Eastlink Trail. The Heatherdale Creek joins the Dandenong Creek here. Exploration on June 2, 2019. Care is needed by walkers along the Trail as it is very popular with fast-moving cyclists. Sadly, the large colored illustrated information signs have been defaced by idiots. A concrete ford crosses the Heatherdale Creek. Beware of the ducks!
