Somers Trail (Mitcham)

Photos of my visit on June 18, 2019 - raining and cold!

Come to this nice park if nothing else for the amazing array of indigenous plants which are significant to the flora of Victoria. As well, there are birds, butterflies, lizards, skinks, snakes, possums, ducks and more.

The park is regenerating with the help of many to bring back the original vegetation.

There is a fully fenced playground area that the kids would love. Here you can sit and have a picnic and there is a fresh water tap.

Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking. Simpson Park and Heatherdale Retarding Basin nearby.
