Pelican Lake Track - Wonga Park

Photos of June 16, 2019. This walk starts at the car park in Heritage Park at the end of Lower Homestead Rd, at the canoe landing facility and follows the Yarra around the border of the Golf and Country Club Resort. The Yarra is quite wide here and is a popular fishing spot for carp and redfin.

Wonga Park - Yarra River Walk

Photos of April 21. 2018. The walk follows the Yarra River Track, starting at the  car park at the end of Lower Homestead Rd, next to the canoe launching ramp. Nice views of the river.

Pelican Lake - Wonga Park

Photos of January 24, 2018, on a 2 km hike starting at the canoe launching ramp at the end of Lower Homestead  Rd. This followed the Yarra bushland reservation, adjacent to the boundary of the expansive Golf and Country Club property. The Bird Hide has fallen into neglect, due to lack of evffective maintenance, and the view from it across the Lake is now totally obstructed by widespread blackberry infestation.
