The Rainforest Gallery on Mt Donna Buang, 100 km east of Melbourne, is one of only three in Australia!
The overhead Walkway (350 metres in length) and Observation Platorm allows visitors to view the magnificent preserved forest, with huge trees up to 400 years old, and listen to the sounds of wildlife.
I had been past the Gallery many times, but had never gone into it. So I spent 30 minutes doing the "Overhead Walk" and getting some pictures.
I was returning from the Summit (1250 metres altitude), which I had visited as it hjad been advised that the first snow of the season had fallen. Unfortunately, the snow had melted by the time I got there in the mid afternoon and the summit area was covered in thick fog,.with temperature down to 3 degrees!
