The Wonga Park River Trail is rarely publicised, and is not shown in any of Victoria's street directories or in the principal walking books.
It is a 2 km return Trail, gated at both ends (closed at sunset), with the western end at the Canoe Launching Ramp on Lower Homestead Rd, in north Wonga Park.
It meanders through pleasant bushland, alongside the Yarra River, 30 km east of Melbourne, passing the beautiful Wetlands, the Birdhide, and the resident Pelicans and Ducks!
It is in public land, between the northern perimeter of the huge Heritage Golf and Country Club and the Yarra, adjacent to the Warrandyte State Park.
I did this walk on November 20, 2006.

Hi Bob, your new site looks good, its easy to find your way around and it looks good, it shows that you have had some experience developing sites. Well Done
