Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track, Beagley's Bridge Section

The Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track is a 13 km walking route linking the towns of Sassafras and Emerald, in the Dandenong Ranges, 35 km east of the Melbourne CBD.

Following the Sassafras, Menzies, and Woori Yallock Creeks, it goes through beautiful forest and small picnic grounds, passing tree ferns and tall timber, crossing the Creeks several times over well-maintained footbridges.

I hiked a 4 km (return) section of this wonderful Trail on February 28, 2008, on the second last day of summer, starting and finishing at the Beagley's Bridge picnic ground, at Kallista.

Some time ago I had completed the full Trail, and there have been upgrades and new footbridges built since then.
