On the second last day of winter, Sunday August 30, 2009, I went to the Sherbrooke Forest, 35 km east of the Melbourne.
My 4 km hike started at the O'Donohue Picnic Ground, then along O'Donohoue Track, to the Falls. The return was via Ridge Track and Sherbrooke Track, to the Sherbrooke Picnic Ground, then along the road back to the O'Donohue Picnic Ground.
The day was cold and overcast, but there were many hikers - sadly, the Falls were only a trickle.
Many colored parrots were entertaining the visitors in both Picnic Grounds!
