On June 3 I did my winter hike along a 3 km (return) section of the Upper Yarra Walking Track, also known as the "Walk into History" .
This links Big Pat's Creek, 90 km east of Melbourne, with Starling Gap, about 12 km, following the alignment of the old timber tramway.
I started at the small car park next to the steps leading up to the Curves' Walk.
There are still partially concealed pieces of rotting timber left over from the tramway infrastructure.
See the Slideshow of my visit!
