It runs parallel to the Eastern Freeway.
The Trail is actually two paths, on each side of the Freeway.
A huge footbridge across the Freeway links the two paths.
I explored a 3 km (return) section of the southern part on January 3, 2013, starting and finishing at Junction Rd, just off Springvale Rd.
This was next to the Koonung Creek.
The network of paths in this area is confusing, with no signage indicating their names or any other information! Trails split with no indication as to their destinations or origins!
