The Buckley Conservation Reserve is a 32 ha (100 acres) area of
bushland in Balnarring, 70 km SE of Melbourne.
It's bounded on the west
by Balnarring Rd, on the north by Myer's Rd, and by large vineyards and
horse studs on the south and east.
My visit was on July 27 2014, on a 3
km (return) hike along part of the main firebreak track.
There are
three access points to the Reserve - the main gate (car spaces) are on
Balnarrring Rd. Diverse fungi had appeared - in the warmer months, many
varieties of birds populate the Reserve.
Unsigned tracks branch off the
main track.
