Bunarong Bushland Park - Frankston
Situated on ancient sand dunes formed during the Ice Age, the 9.3 hectare Bunarong Park, in Frankston, 40 km south of Melbourne, is a wonderful place to enjoy great views of Port Phillip Bay, wander along tracks through remnant heathland, and learn about the local environment, geology and Aboriginal history.
The Park has two walking circuits extending 2 km.
A lookout platform at the highest point provides views of Frankston City and Port Phillip Bay with glimpses of the City. My visit was on July 17 2014.
