Boronia Park, in Melbourne's outer east, plays a vital role in creating a
welcoming, safe and interactive space for all visitors.
Complemented by native and indigenous flora planted along a gently sweeping
swale, tree sculptures have been created as a focal feature of the
reserve.
These unusual and creative pieces of artwork were developed following the
necessity to cut down the trees for public safety. Rather than remove these
trees entirely, artists carved new life into these dearly departed trees and
they became a notable landmark within Knox.
The sculptures are located on Park Crescent, off Dorset Rd - the author's visit on Feb 8, 2016.
