Photos of August 30, 2017. The area was used for the 7th Australian National Scout Jamboree of 1964-65. This section of Brady Rd from the Dandenong Creek Bridge was one of several roadways built for the Jamboree - it now terminates at the Nerre Nerre Warren Picnic Ground. The public car park for the Jamboree on the south side of Brady Rd became a Council tip in 1972, until it was closed down in 1978. The tip site was then used for agistment and grazing until closure in 1980 and is now a. wasteland of gorse, thistles and blackberries. The Dandenong Softball Association Reserve now occupies a large area adjacent to the old tip site.
