Mullum Mullum Trail, Donvale,

These pix were taken on January 16 2013.

They show the scenery, environment, and features along a section of the Mullum Mullum Trail, Donvale, east of central Melbourne.

This is the newest part of the Trail, which follows the Mullum Mullum Creek valley, and is still under construction.

It is reached from a small car park off Park Rd, at Cono's Court Reserve.

Mullum Mullum Trail

These pix were taken on June 13 2012.

They show the environment, fauna, and flora along the Mullum Mullum Trail, in the municipality of Templestowe, about 20 km east of central Melbourne.

My 5 km (return) hike started at the western end of the Trail, at the junction of the Main Yarra Trail, reached from Webster's Rd, passing through Tikalara Park, the Domain Wetlands, Deep Creek Reserve, to the Warrandyte-Heidelberg Rd at the Manna Gum play centre.

The Mullum Mullum Creek is followed for much of the journey, along recently constructed bridges, passing a Lagoon, the home of many resident ducks!

The lagoon is adjacent to the junction of the Parkway and Sanctuary Place, and has an interesting Aboriginal Heritage information board, barbecue/picnic area, and shelter.

The Mullum Mullum Trail may be followed south for several kms between the Warrandyte-Heidelberg Rd until its terminus at Tindals Rd, Donvale.
