Point Leo to Shoreham coastal hike - Westernport Bay

These pix were taken on February 14, 2012.

They show the coastal environment on a 4 km (return) beach hike from Point Leo to Honeysuckle Point at low tide.

Plenty of action from school groups learning to surf!

Pt Leo is 80 km south of Melbourne, on Westernport Bay.

These pix were taken on January 18, 2012, in the Maroondah Reservoir Park, 60 km east of Melbourne.

They show the flora, scenery, and environment on a 4 km hike in the Maroondah Forest, along the Dam Wall, down the Rose Stairway, around the Lily Pond, the Flower Clock, and the Spillway.

Balnarring to Merricks Coastal Walk

This Coastal Walk starts at the Balnarring Beach car park, on Westernport Bay, 65 km south of Melbourne.

It continues through to Merricks Beach and return, along the beach or in the ocean!

I did this 4 km walk on January 16, 2007.

The walk is best done at low tide, so that you may appreciate and explore the excellent rock and tidal pools at Balnarring.

The walk forms part of the long beach trail extending from Somers to Flinders.
