Maroondah Aqueduct Track - Donnelly's Weir

The Maroondah Aqueduct Track follows an open section of the Maroondah Aqueduct, in the Maroondah catchment area, 60 km east of Melbourne, north of the town of Healesville.

It passes through tall forest, passing the decommissioned Sawpit Creek Weir, linking Donnelly's Weir Rd with Condon's Track.

The open aqueduct and its tunnel form part of Melbourne's water supply network, starting at the Maroondah Reservoir.

I explored this interesting 3 km (return) track on December 5, 2007, an extremely hot day of 36 degrees!
