Superb views from Morley's Track - Dom Dom Section

Morley's Track is in the Yarra Ranges National Park, linking the Fernshaw and Dom Dom picnic grounds.

Located in the Melbourne Water catchment area, this 8 km track is available for use by recreational walkers.

The 4 km section starting at Dom Dom, 80 km east of Melbourne, offers magnificent views across vast pine plantations towards the Lake Mountain massif.

In my opinion, these are amongst the most wonderful views in this region.

The track ascends from 557 m at Dom Dom to 667 m at the high point.

Mt Dom Dom Dom is nearby, the site of an aircraft disaster of some years ago.

I hiked the Dom Dom Section on January 28, 2008, a hot day of 32 degrees, having done the Fernshaw section previously.
