After having been closed for several years due to the bridge over the Lyrebird Gully Creek having been washed away, Eagle Nest Rd has been regraded and reopened following bridge repairs.
These pictures were taken on April 9, 2018, showing the scenery and environment at the Picnic Ground, and along Hermon Track.
Eagle Nest Rd starts at the gate on Silvan Rd, which is locked by Parks Vic at 4pm daily.
There are two tables and seats at the Picnic Area, and a barbecue facility.
Howdy Bob, a very nice forested area here and great walking tracks to wander along, the forest looks really great, the shadows sure are becoming longer now! Thanks for sharing another great part of Victoria and best regards! Michael
