Yarrambat Park Trail - Plenty Gorge Parklands

The Yarrambat Park is within the extensive Plenty Gorge Parklands, 30 km NE of Melbourne.

There is an interesting 4 km return walk, shared with horseriders, to the bushland along the Plenty River, starting from the main picnic area/car park. Many ducks may be seen there!

The Park is preserved remnant bushland and open country, but ugly high-density residential development is occurring on two perimeters, detracting from the fine views towards the Ranges.

The Park also accomodates an equestrian training centre, a model aircraft flying club, and a clay pigeon shooting club.

The picture was taken on September 4, 2006.
