Corhanwarrabul Wetlands

The Corhanwarrabul Wetlands are in the Dandenong Valley Parklands, between Ferntree Gully Road and Wellington Rd, 25 km east of the Melbourne CBD.

They link Jells Park and Mulgrave Park.

The Dandenong Creek and Dandenong Creek shared trail run through the Wetlands.

I explored these interesting Wetlands on October 27, 2007.

The full set of images of my trip is at Corhanwarrabul Wetlands Photos

  1. An extensive new concrete shared pathway into a previously inaccessible area of this park to the East of Dandenong creek between FTG Rd and Wellington Rd is about to be opened to the public. Riding my bike yesterday I spotted Great Egret, White Faced Heron, Pink Eared Duck, Black Duck, Maned Duck and Hoary Headed Grebe in this park.
Access is via a path about 300 metres South of FTG rd down from the bridge over Dandenong Ck.
