The Olinda Creek Wetlands adjoins the Lilydale Lake Park, 40 km east of Melbourne.
Shared walking/cycling tracks circle the retaining ponds, connecting the Olinda Creek to the Park and the main retarding basin.
Access is via Hull Road.
The ponds provide a superb habitat for waterfowl and other creatures.
Nearby is the attractive Lakeview Reserve.
I visited these interesting Wetlands on October 5, 2007, unfortunately a dreary and overcast day!
Please see the photos of this excursion in my Photo Album
