The Lyrebird Creek Gully is in the Olinda Section of the Dandenong Ranges National Park.
It is adjacent to the Eagle's Nest Picnic Ground, the site of a former timber mill which ceased operations in the 1950s.
The forest environment is suberb - tall trees, beautiful ferns, and birdlife.
Walking tracks start here - Hermon's Track, and George's Track.
I explored these tracks on November 13, 2007 which follow the Lyrebird Creek Gully.
The full set of photos is at Lyrebird Creek Gully
