The Wandi Walk - Wandiligong

Photos along a section of the Wandi Walk, on May 10, 2018, which links Bright with Wandiligong. This walk is rough and stony in parts, with steps on some of the gradients and includes several small bridges. It is adjacent to Morses Creek, which can be fast-flowing at times. Our walk took us around a loop, starting on Morses Creek  Rd, opposite the historic State Battery and next to the Paragliding Centre.

 

 

 

 

Wandiligong Walk

Pix of April 10, 2017, on a cold and  rainy day! These show the scenery and environment next to Morse's Creek, on a 2 km circuit which included part of the Wandi Walk, starting at the entrance to the historic Alpine Park.

An information board next to the Alpine Park entrance describes the history of the region, and has some fascinating old photos.

The community itself is set in a picturesque valley surrounded by forests and mountain ranges. Morses Creek runs through Wandiligong and features a walking track which follows the course of the river, extending all the way to the town of Bright.
