Mt Sugarload Tracks - Kinglake National Park

The Sugarloaf Section of the Kinglake National Park is the western region, 85 km from Melbourne.

Mt. Sugarloaf summit is 550m.

On February 23 I hiked about 6 km (return) from the Summit, along the Ridge Track, and the southern section of Running Creek Track. This was a descent of some 300m - steep and strenous, expecially the return uphill trek!

Whilst in the area I did the Mason's Falls Walk and the nearby Lyrebird Walk. This passed the site of the former Carman's Mill, closed down in 1922, and little remains.
