Hiking Price'e Track, Olinda Forest, Dandenong Ranges National Park

Prices Track is one of many fire management access tracks in the Olinda Forest, Dandenong Ranges National Park, 45km east of the Melbourne CBD.

Walkers are permitted to use the track, which runs between Boundary Rd and Silvan Rd.

It follows the picturesque Lyrebird Creek Gully, with beautiful tree ferns and tall forest.

Much of this forest was destroyed in the bushfires of 1963, and was logged until 1968.

I explored this track on November 24, 2007, on a 3km return hike, as well as visiting the nearby Nib Nab Nob lookout, on the edge of the Arboretum, offering good views across the Olinda Valley.
