The Olinda Valley is in the Olinda Section of the Dandenong Ranges National Park, 45 km east of the Melbourne CBD.
The Valley Picnic Ground is adjacent to the Rifle Range Gully Creek. It was once a farm.
Several walking tracks are nearby, passing through beautiful forest and fern gullies.
The Picnic Ground has barbecue and other facilities, and is accessed from the Silvan Rd, then via Boundary Rd.
I visited the Valley on November 8 2007, exploring George's Tk, Valley Tk, and Rifle Range Gully Tk.
